Is Brennan Lake Campground dog-friendly?
Brennan Lake is a dog-friendly campground – as you can see from the pictures below, Avy was very content there!
Like most campsites, you will note that dogs must be on-leash while visiting the campsite. They are also not allowed on the beach.
Our experience at Brennan Lake Campground
We had a last minute visit to Brennan Lake Campground. On a planned visit to Nanaimo we found ourselves with nowhere to stay for one night in-between reservations. I called Brennan Lake and we were lucky enough to get a spot!
Our site was located on a corner and had full hookups. The site was somewhat small but we found ourselves with enough room to set up our camp chairs and enjoy a campfire.
Avy seemed to enjoy the space as well and had no problems settling in for a nap!
Exploring the campground
Before we left in the morning we took Avy for a walk to explore the campground. On our walk through we came across the large field/BBQ area. There was nobody using it at the time, so it gave us the opportunity to exercise Avy a little bit.
We also walked past the campsite store (which was quite well stocked) and the covered picnic area located next to it.
The playgrounds at the campground were quite large and the kids were having a great time!
We did not have an opportunity to visit the beach, but overall it was a great experience and we would go back.
