Dog-Friendly Patio
Dogs are not allowed in the tasting room itself, but they are more than welcome on the lovely outdoor patio.
If you opt to sit on the patio with your dog you can enjoy a "self-guided" wine tasting experience. You can also order some light snacks from their menu.
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins can be accommodated on a first-come first-serve basis. You can easily book your reservation using their on-line booking form.
Our Experience at Averill Creek Winery
We had the opportunity to visit this dog-friendly winery in the summer of 2021. I booked our spot on-line so we had a table ready when we arrived. The super-friendly staff took us to a great spot on the deck and then quickly returned with a bowl of water for Avy.
The views from the patio are stunning - with sweeping views of the valley in front of you. The terrace itself is also beautiful. There are lots of flowers planted around it, and climbing vines. The rest of the decor is just as nice with stone and rustic designs.
The patio itself is rock/cement so I would recommend bringing along a blanket for your dog to lie on while you enjoy your wine.
We opted to do a "self-guided" wine flight and were provided with a paper handout explaining each of the wines that we had chosen. It was a great way to take our time and really enjoy the experience.
Avy was content to snooze on her blanket while we had our tasting and several other patrons stopped by to say hello to her on their way by. Overall it was a really positive experience. We highly recommend a visit.
Parking at Averill Creek Vineyard
You will find plenty of free parking at the winery. After you drive through their beautiful gates, go up the hill and you can park outside of the tasting room.
