This section of the Coquitlam River Trail is an easy hike up to a beautiful waterfall at Crystal Falls. Dog friendly and mostly flat, the downside is that the trail can be VERY muddy several months of the year and there is the occasional small stream crossing to tiptoe through.
This trailhead is in a quiet neighbourhood, on the corner of Shaughnessy Street and Karley Crescent and there is a decent amount of street parking.
If you are looking for a scenic, beginner friendly place to take your dog for a hike this trial is for you!
