Garden City Park is a large, popular park in Richmond BC. In the park there are a variety of amenities including a fully fenced off-leash dog park. Some of the other amenities in the park include a walking path, pond and children’s playground. There is also a picnic area in the park for families to enjoy.
The dog park is medium sized and has a double-gate entry for dogs safety. The surface area is dirt/sand which is easy for the dogs to play in. Throughout the park there are logs and man-made hills which add a playful feature to the park.
If your dog has had enough play time in the off-leash area you can take them for an on-leash walk around the nearby pond. The path that circles the pond goes by the picnic area, playground and public bathrooms.
The day that we visited the park a section was blocked off with orange fencing to protect it. It was not clear if this fencing is present all of the time.
Just outside of the entrance to the park is a medium sized parking lot. The parking lot is free to use for those visiting the park.
