Located in Comox, British Columbia Goose Spit Park is a beautiful beach located East of the Comox Town boundary.   The park features picnic tables, fire rings (great for hotdog roasts!), interpretive signs, access to trails and the infamous Spit Stairs.  Come down to go for a long walk with your dog, relax on the sand, have a picnic or do some laps on the stairs.  If the conditions are right you can also watch the kite surfers practicing their tricks.

From April to October there is a park steward offering interpretative tours.  Firewood is also available for purchase after 2:30 pm in the summer months.

The official park website is worth a visit for information on rules for fires, trail and walking maps and more.

Note:  the beach is off-leash most of the year but dogs are required to be leashed between March 1st and May 20th due to nesting geese.
