Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond, BC, has a beautiful jetty which stretches 4 kilometers into the ocean – that’s an 8km round trip walk or bike ride!
Dogs are allowed off-leash on the lower roadway of the Iona Jetty but they must be on-leash on the trail (on top of the jetty) and everywhere else in the park.
There are two areas where dogs are not allowed at all because of high value wildlife habitat:
- The ponds and the areas surrounding them, on the park’s east side.
- The foreshore and beach between the Iona Jetty and the North Jetty.
The park has bathrooms, water fountains for humans and dogs, poop bags, beach access, park benches, picnic tables and more. A beautiful place to spend an afternoon.
Check out the Iona Regional Park Map for an overview of the park.
