The Oak Meadows off-leash dog park is a fairly large grassy area on the west side of the park. There is no fencing or any other dog features but there is a lovely seating area provided by local visitors and a walking path which runs the perimeter of the park.
At the entrance to the park there is a large insect hotel made out of a converted phone booth. The insect hotel is designed to attract bee’s, butterflies and other creatures.
The park also has a variety of other features:
- jogging trails
- perimeter walking path
- soccer field
- ultimate frisbee fields
- field hockey
The best place to access the dog meadow is from 37th street near Oak. There is no parking lot so you will have to look for street parking.
