- Sunset Park (off-leash dog park), Vancouver, BC
Sunset Park in South Vancouver, BC has a large, fenced and double-gated off-leash dog enclosure.
The dog park has a water fountain at the entrance where humans can fill their water bottle and a low spout so dogs can have a drink.
Inside the park there is a path that runs through the middle and several benches so you can relax while your dog plays.
The surface of the park is hard packed dirt, which is easy for dogs to run on. There is some evidence of digging in the dirt but overall the park is well maintained.
The landscape of the park builds up on a small slope which dogs love to run up and down. There is drainage at the bottom of the slope to keep the park from flooding in the rainy months.
What other features does Sunset Park Have?
In addition to the off-leash park, Sunset Park has several ball diamonds, a soccer field and a children's playground. There is also plenty of green space for picnicking or relaxing.
