Tait Waterfront Park is currently a 1.4 acre park located at the end of Number-4 road in Richmond, BC. There are plans to expand of the park to a 3 acre site. At the moment the park has a green space, amphitheater, look-out, and gravel path. When the expansion is complete there will be a playground, basketball court, picnic tables, and more.
The off-leash area in the park is on the gravel path next to the Fraser River. There are signs at the start and end of the off-leash section. The space is narrow and less than 1km long. It is suitable for a game of fetch (providing your ball doesn’t end up in the river!) or perhaps a short run. There is no water access for the dogs.
Is there parking at Tait Waterfront Park?
There is no parking lot at Tait Waterfront. There is street parking available, but it is well used. On our visit we parked a couple of blocks away and walked over.
Overall the park is a nice space for those who live in the area. But it is not a destination I would go out of my way to visit with my dog.
