The dog park at Waterfront Park has a fully-fenced enclosure for all dogs and a separate enclosure for small-dogs. It is located next to the BCIT Marine Campus on the north side of the train tracks and enters from West Esplanade.
The dog park is big enough for dogs to play fetch or just chase each other around.
Looking south, the park looks over main part of Waterfront Park, on the south side of the train tracks, and has beautiful views of the harbour and downtown Vancouver.
The main part of Waterfront Park has a playground, picnic tables, a large grassy area and is a very popular place for people to picnic and take in the stunning views of the harbour.
If you want to go for a longer walk and take in the beauty of the waterfront you can leash-up your dog and explore the Spirit Trail. The trail hugs the waterfront as much as possible as it weaves its way through the Lonsdale Quay, around the Mosquito Creek Marina and west to Kings Mill Walk Dog Park before turning north into the city.
