Woodward Slough is a beautiful part of the Richmond Dyke Trail system. At the park, there is a gravel trail that runs along the water as well as an outer trail for bikes. In between the two trails is a green space where dogs can play.
The park features beautiful views and a few park benches if you would like to relax while your dog plays. There is no official water access from the trail but an ambitious dog may find its way down.
On the inside trail, there is a ditch filled with very dark, muddy water. If your dog likes to play in mud puddles as Avy does, you may want to keep them away from this area.
Is there parking at Woodward Slough?
Yes. There is street parking at the entrance to the trail. Parking is limited though so you may have to park farther away and walk over.
Finn Slough
At the entrance to the park is Finn Slough. It is made up of a community of houses built on stilts over the water. The houses have a rich history and are worth seeing. You can read about the history of the area here.
