Today was a weird weather day – sunny, then pouring rain, then sun, then a bit more rain…early afternoon it seemed like there was going to be a break so Avy and I went off to the trails out at Pacific Spirit park for a walk. It seemed we weren’t the only ones with that idea, I was surprised by how many people were on the trails!
As we were making our way back up the West side of the loop we were doing we came across two ladies with three dogs. Avy stopped to say hello and have a play and the ladies and I struck up a conversation. Turns out that they belong to a dog friendly hiking group in Vancouver.
Apparently the group organizes hikes all over the city, on dog friendly trails. There are weekday hikes, evening hikes and weekend hikes. It seemed like a good idea to me so as I was finishing out the end of the walk I searched out the group and signed up.
Not sure when our first hike will be but both Avy and I are looking forward to meeting some new people/dogs and checking out some new trails.
