Waterloo is jumping on the bandwagon of cities who are putting dog waste collection bins at city parks for the purpose of converting the dog waste into energy. Dog waste makes up a significant portion of “garbage” collected at public parks so the increasing presence of these bins are a positive sign. Popular dog parks in Vancouver are seeing the arrival of these bins as well and I have noted them at several Regional Parks throughout the Greater Vancouver Area.
