Due to gathering restrictions related to COVID-19 many Halloween events have been cancelled for 2020, however there are still some fun activities organized that you can participate in with your dog in tow!

Dog Friendly Pumpkin Patches:
If picking out the perfect pumpkin – right from the patch – is one of your traditions, you are in luck. There are several dog friendly pumpkin patches around the Lower Mainland – check out the listings below to pick out one to visit with the whole family!
Rondriso Farms Pumpkin Patch: Located in Surrey BC this family friendly farm features a farm store, cows, chickens and of course – the pumpkin patch. To maintain safety for all visitors there will be directions at the farm indicating how to access the pumpkin patch so that social distancing guidelines can be maintained.
Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch: Looking for some adventure to go with your pumpkin? Check out the Chilliwack corn maze! You can explore the maze with your pup and then pick out your favourite pumpkin, ready for carving!
Southlands Heritage Farm: This dog friendly pumpkin patch is located in Vancouver, BC. Visit their website to pick a time slot when you can arrive at the farm for your visit.
Port Kells Nurseries: Located in Surrey, BC this dog friendly farm is free to visit! Dogs must be kept on-leash at the farm and social distancing rules will be strictly followed for all visitors.

Howl-O-Ween Kids and Dogs Trick-or-Treat: Nothing says Halloween like a trick-or-treat event! This year the West Broadway Business Association in Vancouver, BC will be once again hosting their annual trick-or-treat event. This event is designed for the entire family to enjoy – local merchants will be handing out treats to both kids and dogs, just look for the sign in the window. Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest: Does your dog love to get dressed up as much as you do? Then this is the event for you. The Downtown Port Coquitlam BIA is hosting a virtual costume contest for pets. Check out the event listing for details!
