This story both makes me smile and breaks my heart a little bit. Otis – a German Shepherd Mix – was on his back porch when Hurricane Harvey hit. Most likely scared by the storm he wandered away from home and managed to find his way to the hardware store where he helped himself to a large bag of dog food. A woman in the town captured the picture of Otis as he took his bag of dog food home where he was reunited with his owners grandfather who was taking care of him. A heartwarming story in the midst of so much devastation.
