Crippen Regional Park is a sprawling, mixed-use park near the ferry terminal on Bowen Island, BC. This park is operated by Metro Vancouver Regional District, not Bowen Island Municipality, so the rules here are different. There is an off-leash dog park just off the Meadow Trail, but dogs must be on-leash throughout the rest of the park.
The easiest way to get to the dog park is to park near the Municipal Service yard on Mount Gardner Road or near the Killarney Lake Picnic Area, which is next to the dam at the south end of the lake.
Be sure to check the trail signage for specific information – most of the trails are mixed use/shared, but some are limited to hiking. Check out the Crippen Regional Park Map for an overview of the area.
Are dogs allowed in Crippen Regional Park?
Yes, Crippen Regional Park is dog-friendly, but dogs are only allowed off-leash in the designated off-leash dog park near the middle of the park (just off the Meadow Trail). Dogs must be on-leash on the trails and everywhere else throughout the park.
