The Railyard Off-leash Dog Park features a paved trail network that runs throughout the fully-fenced off-leash 10-acre property which includes a separate fully-fenced off-leash enclosure for small-dogs. There’s plenty of shade along the way. Dog waste disposal bins with waste bag dispensers can be found throughout the park.
For smaller dogs or owners working on recall exercises, there is a smaller fenced zone near the northeast end of the park.
A new dog pool has recently been added – a great spot for your pooch to cool off after running around.
Located just two minutes off Highway 3 (the Crowsnest Highway). If you’re passing through Fernie, and your fur-buddy needs to vent some energy, this is the perfect spot to take a driving break. You’re also about 5 minutes from downtown Fernie, should you need to grab a refreshment or two before heading back on the road.
The park is managed by The Fernie Pet Society, is free to use, and is open all year-round.
Thank you to Pierre Dupont from The Fernie Pet Society for reaching out to us with pictures and information about the park!
