Harbourview Park features an off-leash trail which runs along the east side of Lynn Creek, south of Lynmouth Park and Main Street in North Vancouver. It has a water access in the creek, about halfway down the trail, and another at the end of the trail, at the mouth of the creek.
The first dog beach is easy to access but you have to be careful with the fast-moving water. The second dog beach is hard to access because you have climb down the big rocks protecting the shoreline, but the water is shallow to start and the beach is suitable for dogs to play and chase each other around (we were there at low tide).
You can also take the trail north and go about 350 meters to the fenced dog park at Lynmouth Park. And if you’re looking for a really long walk, you can continue walking the on-leash trails through Lynmouth Park and beyond.
How do you get to the parking lot?
The trailhead and parking lot is on the east side of Lynn Creek. From Main Street, head south on Mountain Highway, turn right on Dominion Street, right on Harbour Avenue, hook left, and you’re there in 150 feet.
