Whytecliff Park is well known for scuba diving. It even features a ramp for divers with disabilities. Anemones, crab, harbour seals, lingcod, rockfish, sculpin and starfish are regulars in these waters. If you’re lucky you’ll come across a giant octopus or wolf eel.
Is Whytecliff Park dog friendly?
Whytecliff Park is dog-friendly. Dogs are allowed off-leash on the trails on the east side of Marine Drive but they must be on-leash everywhere else in the park.
The trails are short but beautiful. The terrain is quite varied going from groomed paths to rocky areas and stumps and roots. It is not an appropriate trail for anyone with mobility challenges. You will find peak-a-boo views through the trees and plenty of beautiful scenery as you explore with your dog.
