Thanks to everyone who wrote City Council or signed petitions – the vote is in and the City of Vancouver has voted unanimously to ban the sale of Dogs, Cats and Rabbits at Pet stores in the city.
The ban does not impact retail locations that have pets available for adoption through recognized rescues or shelters.
It’s a first step in the process to get problems with puppymills and “backyard breeders” under control.
