Pull into the main entrance at Barnet Marine Park and bear left. The quickest way down to the off-leash area is at the far end of the parking lot. Follow the trail to the service road which leads down the hill and across the train tracks. The dog park will be on your left.
The park offers wonderful views of the Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains. The off-leash area is a large grassy area running along the waterfront. The area feels somewhat contained between the water on the one side and the fencing and bushes separating the train tracks on the other side. Unfortunately water access is limited to a very short stretch of beach near the main entrance because the shores are lined with concrete slabs to prevent shoreline erosion.
