The Cultus Lake dog beach is located in front of Sunnyside Campground at Cultus Lake, B.C. It is a small section of beach where dogs are welcome to swim and play.
The dog swim area is utilized by many campers at Sunnyside as well as locals so it is often busy. As well, it is the first dog beach you encounter when entering Cultus so it attracts a lot of people. If you prefer a quieter location check our listings for Jade Bay and Maple Bay at the end of this post.
Sunnyside campground has 2 large group campsites located just above the dog beach. As a result, it can get quite busy with non-dog owners and children swimming and playing on floaties in the dog swim area. More than once we found people playing frisbee in the water, which of course the dogs want to get in on!
Additional Dog Swim Areas at Sunnyside Campground
There are 2 other dog swim areas in the Sunnyside campground. One next to the boat ramp and the other at the far side of the campground beach. Both beaches can be used by campers as well as visitors. To find them follow the beach path along and watch for the signage
Of the three beaches located within the campground area, the one at the far side is by far the most quiet. While there are campsites directly above the dog swim area it is far less populated than the beach on the edge of the campground.
Parking at Cultus Lake Dog Beach
Next to the park at the boat ramp there is a pay parking lot beach visitors can use. The parking lot is located at the end of Sunnyside blvd.
