Dogwood Off-Leash Park in Surrey, BC is an enormous park full of features your dog will love. The entrance to the park has two double-gated entries to keep dogs safe as people come and go. Inside there is a smaller fenced area for small dogs.

The first section of the park is a huge open space. There is plenty of room for dogs to run and play while you watch. Scattered around the open space are lawn chairs and a few picnic tables. There is also a small covered areas for those rainy days.

Towards the back of the open space is a small pond. On our visit Avy loved having a swim and cooling down. There are a couple of park benches facing the pond so you can relax while your dog swims.

Off-Leash Trails in Dogwood Park

If you have had enough of sitting and watching your dog play, you can venture to the back of the park where there are a variety of off-leash trails. The trails are wide and relatively flat so they are very easy to navigate. While the trails aren't long enough to be considered a 'hike' they are long enough for both you and your dog to get a bit of exercise. The best part is that even the trail section is fully fenced making it very safe for your dog.

We visited the park after several days of rain so there were PLENTY of puddles throughout the trails. Avy had a great time splashing through every one of them. Luckily the park has water taps and kiddie pools making it easy to clean up before going home.

Dogwood Park has a large parking lot. When we visited the lot was quite full with cars even parked down the middle. We were able to find a spot though, and with the number of people coming and going parking does not appear to be a problem. At the front of the lot there are 2 disabled spots as well.
