Candy Cane Lane is one of Edmonton’s most popular holiday traditions. The event has been running for more than 50 years! Currently, Candy Cane Lane is situated on 148 Street between 99 Avenue to 92 Avenue.
Dates: December 9, 2022 – January 1, 2023.
Time: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
You can explore Candy Cane Lane however you choose – on foot, in your vehicle or even on skiis! The event organizer that I reached out to assured me that it is “absolutely dog-friendly” and that many dogs enjoy walking the lane (on-leash please!) with their owners.
If your dog isn’t a fan of the cold, they can enjoy the lights from the warmth of our car as you explore.
On December 10th, 17th and 23rd, the street will be closed to vehicle traffic. On these days you can walk, stroll, ski your way down, taking your time to enjoy the lights.
The event is FREE but you are asked to bring along a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank. There will be green bins placed along the route where you can drop off your donations.
