Lights of Wonder – Dog-friendly Christmas Light Display (2022), Victoria, BC

The Downtown Victoria Business Association is pleased to present “Lights of Wonder” in Victoria, BC.

Downtown Victoria will transform the square into a holiday wonderland. This outdoor event features themed light exhibits, four interactive light tunnels, and a 40-foot festive tree. With free admission for all ages, Lights of Wonder offers live entertainment, warm nibbles, and magical light displays.

Dog-friendly Christmas Light Display:

Dogs are absolutely welcome at the “Lights of Wonder” display. Be sure to keep your dog on a leash and close, as the event may be crowded at times.

You will find beautiful light displays and plenty of photo ops for the whole family.

Event Features:

There is a long list of entertainment and activities, from bands and singers, to a variety of dancers and performers, to a silent disco, to Chinese Lion Dancing, to a Menorah Lighting, to an ugly sweater contest and a New Year’s Eve countdown. Check the official event page for a schedule of events and plan to be there for your favourite activities and entertainment!

New Years Eve at the Lights of Wonder:

  • Entertainment on New Years Eve will start at 5:00 pm with speeches and a blessing.
  • Live music starts at 6:00 pm.
  • At 9:00 pm there will be an early “New Years Countdown” for families.
  • Another countdown will take place at 11:59 pm.

Wear your sparkliest outfits, bring glow sticks, and celebrate the end of 2022 and the start of 2023!

December 15 to 31, 2022:

  • Sunday – Thursday: 4 pm – 9 pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 4 pm – 10 pm
